Get to know Lance Leduc, Inventory Manager and Production Supervisor in Boise.
Lance runs his production department in a consistent way with the mission, vision, and values of Heartland Pharmacy by “trying to get to know all of the fillers and understand their strengths and weaknesses.”
Q. How long have you worked for the company?
A. I started as a delivery driver and then moved into filling. I’ve worked at Heartland for almost 15 years. There were only four fillers in Boise when I began working.
Q. What type of supervisor do you consider yourself to be?
A. I consider myself a facilitator for growth and achievement. I like to lead by example- the first one in and the last one out.
Q. What’s your favorite thing about Heartland?
A. If you have a goal, the company will honestly do anything to help you achieve it. The only thing that stops you here is yourself.
Q. How important is the production department within Heartland?
A. The production department makes Heartland go. When the production team is united and has a positive attitude and energy, it spreads throughout the whole pharmacy for good. I need the production technicians to live the Heartland Way, meaning they do whatever it takes to get the job done. They lead by example and do things the right way for the employees and our partners.
Q. How has Heartland changed since you began working here?
A. Heartland has grown in the last 15 years, but they continue to treat people with respect. I feel appreciated. It says something about this company, when the CEO, Reece, comes and talks to you directly- they outwardly care.

Q. How long have you worked at Heartland?
A. I’ve worked at Heartland for a little over a year.
Q. What do you like most about working for the company and what do you want others to know about your team?
A. I like working at a closed-door pharmacy, the busyness of production and being involved with the entire team. I also love the environment, people, and management at Heartland Pharmacy. I want people to know about Heartland’s production team because we really care about the residents and communities we serve.

Q. You worked previously for Heartland and then returned. Why?
A. Heartland is just like home. It is more than just a place to work. It is like a friend supporting you to fulfill your goals. I worked for Heartland previously for a little over a year and then came back.
Q. What makes Heartland different from other companies?
A. Specifically, we all work together. There are no competitions. We work together to get medications to our partners and residents. Every person steps in and helps when they see a need—it’s an excellent atmosphere. We have a local feel even though we are pretty big now. I want our partners to know that we are extremely committed to the resident.
